A Family Lunch on Upper Street: Keeping Your Islington Plans Simple

A good family lunch gives everyone a chance to sit down together. The practical details matter: arriving before children are too hungry, choosing food without a long debate and leaving enough flexibility for the rest of the afternoon.
At La Divina, you can browse the menus before visiting and plan around your family's pace. Here are a few ways to make lunch on Upper Street easier to organise.
Choose the meal time before the rest of the day
If you are fitting lunch around an outing, decide whether it makes more sense to eat before or afterwards. A late finish can leave younger guests hungry, while a booking too close to an activity can make the meal feel rushed.
Build in a little flexibility for travel and getting everyone ready. If you have a firm departure time, tell the team when you arrive so we can discuss your plans.
Look through children's and adults' choices together
The menu page includes a children's menu alongside the main restaurant menus. Let children see the choices in advance if that helps them decide. Adults can also check dietary menus before the visit, rather than trying to answer every question at the table.
Please tell us about allergies and discuss ingredients directly with the team. A dietary label alone cannot answer every individual allergy question.
Check the lunch deal for your date
Our lunch menu lists two courses at £17.95 and three at £19.95, available from 11am to 4pm. A £2.50 weekend surcharge applies. The deal excludes bank holidays, special days and the festive season from 20 November 2026 to 2 January 2027; selected dishes also carry supplements.
Check the current menu before planning your budget. For a visit during an excluded period, ask which menu applies to your date. Children's-menu prices are separate from the adult lunch deal.
Tell us who is coming
Include all guests in the total booking number and provide the requested children's details. If you need a high chair, space for a pushchair or particular seating arrangements, contact us before visiting so we can confirm what is possible for your table.
For extended-family gatherings, one organiser can collect requirements and pass them on together. It is much easier to plan when the team has one clear picture of the party.
Whether lunch is the main event or a pause in an afternoon out, keep the arrangements simple and leave room to enjoy being together. Book your family table at La Divina, 134 Upper Street, Islington.
